Thank you for taking a few minutes to learn more about me and my work in the auction industry. Although the auction business is a passion of mine, I’m most proud of my family. Laura and I have been married for 19 years and have two boys, Joe Jr and Ed. Seeing them grow and learn has been the greatest pleasure I’ve had. Joe Jr plays competitive tennis and he and I get to travel together to matches and tournaments. Ed is into all sports and is interested in every aspect of hunting and fishing. We spend our time together outdoors in the woods and at our family’s farm in Brooklet GA. Although the auction industry keeps me busy, it does allow some flexibility for me to spend as much time as I can with family, watching sports and traveling.
When I began my auction career, I had no intention of calling live auctions because my work would be focused on online real estate auctions. During my time in auction school, I gained a deep appreciation for the auction “chant.” Early on in my career, I was hired to do some small live auctions that led to some larger, charitable benefit auctions. while working with those groups, I found a new passion for fundraising through live auctions. Over the last 8 years, I have had the pleasure of working with many charitable organizations through the years. I never tried to count the money raised, but it’s surely in the millions!
In addition to family time and work, I also believe that it’s important to be connected to my community in Statesboro. I’m a member of our local Rotary Club, a board member for Bulloch Academy and on the board of our church, Statesboro Worship. I’ve been fortunate to start a family in the county that I grew up in and I hope to leave it a little better for them for the future.
